Ebola: Liberia to Receive Sample Doses of Experimental Drug to Treat Doctors
The Liberian government has revealed that sample doses of
the experimental drug ZMapp to help combat the Ebola virus
will be sent to the country to treat doctors infected with the
disease. The request was approved by the The White House as well
as the United States Food and Drug Administration.
The delivery of the ZMapp to Liberia
follows a request made on Friday from Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to President
Barack Obama.
It will be brought to the Liberia by a
U.S. government representative this week.
