2 Ukrainian Military Jets Shot Down 20 Miles From Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 Crash Site
Two Ukrainian fighter
jets — not this one — were shot down Wednesday.
Two Ukrainian military fighter jets have been shot down in the east,
according to the country's Defense Ministry.
The Sukhoi-25 fighters were shot down 1:30 p.m. local time Wednesday over an
area called Savur Mogila.Savur Mogila is about 35 km — or 21 miles — from Grabovo, the village where a
missile took down Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 last week.

Sekretarev/AP Lieutenant-General Andrey Kartopolov, head of main
operational department of Russian military's said Ukrainian surface-to-air
systems, not Russian, were operating in the area during the MH17 crash.
Defense Ministry
spokesman Oleksiy Dmitrashkovsky says the planes may have been carrying up to
two crew members each.
