Osaze's sizzler sets record for Africa
The
good combination of Peter Odemwingie and Emenike in the Nigeria 1-0 win against
Bosnia & Herzegovina has given Nigeria hope to proceed to the last 16 of
the Fifa 2014 World Cup tournament that is taking place in Brazil.
Odemwingie’s
goal in 29th minutes of the first half was the Super Eagles 18th World Cup goal,
placing Nigeria at the top of the table for Africa while Cameroon with 17
follows behind.
Odemwingie
whom the wife gave birth to a bouncing baby boy two weeks ago has admitted the
fact that although good luck played a ipart n Nigeria’s victory, hard work on
the part of the team was the main reason.
From
the Nigeria vs Bosnia game, every one can say that coach Stephen Keshi’s side
has improved a great deal.
It
is glaringly true that good luck also played it’s role in the victory, because
Dzeko’s 2nd half goal was disallowed by referee Peter O’Leeary.
Nigeria
are now celebrating their first win in the tournament since 1998 as well as
their probable survival on four points from two games into the last round of 16
.
