Afrobeats star, Wizkid has signed a multi-album worldwide deal with RCA Records/Sony Music International. Wizkid made this known in a statement to the billboard. He said "It’s hard for me to describe what I do, since I work with rhythms from Afro-Beat, reggae, hip-hop, dance hall and others," "What’s important to me is for music to be real, authentic, raw and timeless. I don’t wanna be boxed in to any one genre." The RCA Records chairman and CEO Peter Edge who expressed his joy at the signing of the "Ojuelegba" crooner said "We are thrilled to welcome WizKid to the RCA Records family. He has become a superstar in the African music scene and will be a game-changer in bringing African music to the world. Ambode Converts Mobil And Oando Filling Stations To Bus Terminal

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State on tuesday said it would convert the popular Mobil and Oando filling stations at Maryland Bus Stop on Ikorodu road to bus terminal as part of strategies to ease transportation challenges in the state. The governor, who also vowed to replace the yellow buses otherwise known as “Danfo” buses with Close Circuit Television Camera buses while the new air-conditioned buses will also have charging points for passengers who want to charge their phones and other devices. Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting with transporters on Tafawa Balewa Square terminal, Ambode announced plan by his administration to construct bus terminals at Yaba, Maryland and Anthony bus stops. Ambode, who was represented by the Acting Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Anofiu Elegushi, said that the popular filling stations at Maryland would have to give way for the bus terminal. US immigration officials forced a Nigerian software engineer to complete a written test on binary search trees to prove his computer knowledge. Customs and Border Protection officers, took Celestine Omin, 28, into a room for further checks after he arrived at New York’s JFK Airport last week, 24 hours after he set off. He told them he worked for Andela, a tech start-up with offices in New York, Lagos, Nairobi and San Francisco, which claims to take "the most talented developers on the African continent" and link them with potential US employers. The firm has offices in Kenya’s capital Nairobi, San Francisco, New York and the Nigerian city of Lagos, which was visited by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
